A guide to reduce school failure in children with ADHD has been edited

The Foundation “Cantabria Helps Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder” (CADAH, in spanish) has edited, in collaboration with the Obra Social Caja Cantabria, a guide for teachers intended to reduce school failure in children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). The guide entitled “ADHD in the classroom” includes features of this problem, needs of those with ADHD and efficient guidelines to apply within the classroom to try to “reduce” the high percentage of school failure.

The President of the Foundation, Regina Cobo, expressed in a press conference, that according to the National Institute of Evaluation and Quality of the Educational System (INECSE, in spanish), the 10% of school failures are because of ADHD. Also, only 5% to 7% of these finish higher education consequence of a late diagnosis and lack of implementation of specific actions.
